Inspirational Speaker Chapel Hill NCGrace Ueng of Savvy Growth, had a life-changing event — a near-fatal bicycle accident that ultimately taught her more about life than any other experience.

“I am still as focused on the success of the clients that we serve, but I think I have a broader and healthier perspective having experienced a ‘cliff event’…in which one almost dies but is able to come back to life,” says Ueng. After her accident, which left her with a fractured neck as well as a head injury, Grace saw the recovery time as a unique opportunity to reassess her own priorities.  She realized that everyone has their own “cycling accident” and adversity helps make us stronger. She then went on to study the correlation between successful endurance athletes and successful entrepreneurs. From there, she studied the connection between those who climb the 7 Summits and those who start successful companies, which became the topic of her TED talk.

From there, Grace started in depth studies of positive psychology and writing on that topic:  Why Study Happiness?;  Asking Life’s Questions;   Top 7 Takeaways: Harvard’s Happiness CourseHow Happiness Can Help Your Company Flourish.  Her Project Peak workshops and talks describe how she is “Finding Happiness Post-Harvard.”
